Privacy Policy
Effective: June 19, 2026 · Last updated: August 9, 2026
The 99 Social™ is operated by Fairfield Kr8tive LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your information when you use The 99 Social and The 99 Pro subscription service ("the Service").
By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information as described here.
01 — What we collect
Account information. When you create an account, we collect your email address and any profile information you provide (display name, city, bio).
Date of birth. We ask for your date of birth at signup to verify you meet our 13+ age requirement. It is stored securely, is never shown to other users, and is not part of your public profile.
Payment information. Subscription payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full credit card number. Stripe provides us with a customer ID and subscription status. Review Stripe's privacy policy at stripe.com/privacy.
Content you post. Posts, ghost posts, reactions, and any media you upload are stored in our database and associated with your account. Direct messages you send to other users are private between you and the recipient — we do not display them publicly, though we retain them to operate the messaging feature and to investigate abuse reports.
Usage data. We collect basic usage data (pages visited, features used, timestamps) to improve the Service. We do not sell this data.
01a — Reporting and safety
You can report or block posts, comments, and other users directly in the app. Reports are reviewed by us to enforce these policies and our Terms of Service.
02 — How we use it
We use your information to provide and operate the Service, process your subscription, send transactional emails (receipts, account notices), personalize your feed and AI-powered digest, enforce our Terms of Service, and improve the platform.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not serve third-party ads.
03 — Service providers
We share data with the following sub-processors to operate the Service:
Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage. Your account data and posts live on Supabase infrastructure. supabase.com/privacy
Stripe — payment processing and subscription management. stripe.com/privacy
Anthropic — powers two AI features. Caption suggestions send only your post's city and any stickers you've added — never your photo, name, or account data. The 99 Pulse morning digest is built from public weather and news sources, not from your posts or personal information. Neither feature includes personal identifiers. anthropic.com/privacy
Firecrawl — fetches public weather and news content (e.g. National Weather Service, local news) to build the 99 Pulse digest. No personal or account data is sent to Firecrawl. firecrawl.dev/privacy-policy
Vercel — hosting and edge network. vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
04 — Ghost posts
Ghost Posts are displayed anonymously on the feed. However, your identity is still associated with the post in our database for moderation and safety purposes. Ghost Posts are not fully anonymous — we retain the ability to identify the poster if required by law or to enforce our Terms of Service.
05 — Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or financial compliance purposes (e.g., Stripe transaction records, which are retained per Stripe's policies).
06 — Your rights (California residents — CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect, request deletion of their personal information, and opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell it). To exercise these rights, email us at privacy@the99social.com.
07 — Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it promptly.
08 — Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. We will notify active subscribers by email for material changes. The "Last updated" date at the top will always reflect the current version.
